uv's. uvs are hell. So I did this in second year and I'm finally posting it! school has been really busy lately so I'll do my best to continue sharing my work here. Anyways, I like 3D modeling, and I think the modle itself came out well, but the texture itself was a pain.
I'll probably update again some other time to show you how the hand looks without the texture, and yes, that's how skinny my hands are...

axolotl 3D
Remeber that axolotl character I worked on a few months ago? I decided to name him Moyo, but still I feel like there's a better name out there for him...
Anyway I made a 3D model of him, and mudbox was being mean... I'll go back to clay... or just maya... maybe ¬¬
My teacher surprisingly liked it, but I guess he was also looking for the process work, and I'm glad I have the habit of saving all those process work papers. The sad part is that sometimes I forget where I put them...

And... the 3D stuff

Also for character class, we worked on making one of our previous characters improve a bit, I tried to put extra emphasis on the eyes since they were not as expressive, but to be honest I still like his other eyes a bit more.

Ms. Snobby Head
Hello! Remember the snobby pig character timeline I did a year ago? this year I was able to model the old lady's head in Maya and Mudbox, to be honest I dont love mudbox, but I like modeling, so hopefully something good will come out of this on the summer :)
You can see the turn around here, and again I apologize for youtube's bad quality...
And here some stills

Human lip synch
All I knew about this movie was that it was about a soldier, so I thought about the many things that could make a soldier say these words in this tone of voice, and tried to make him remember those things when he was speaking. I also did some reasearch on real life world war II, and vietnam soldiers. I hope I did a good job. Although the software messed a bit with me :/

I have two assignments to show. I apologize for youtube's bad quality
Dog walk!
My teacher said it was almost perfect, and it made me really happy cause it was all thanks to... this thing...

dolls*
Hellooooo! I must admit I've been lazy on updating this blog, but my computer is so slow I get lazy just with thinking I have to wait for it to turn on completely. Anyway, a few entries ago I said I was working on 3 projects... I'm not sure I'll show all of them... one turned out really bad... and I need to steal my parents' good camera XD ........so I'll begin by showing my favorite:
My creepy doll sculpture!
Materials
her face was a mardi grass ornament, some sort of mask, which I painted later. I also took the bell from that ornament.
well I kinda like them... from a distance. Rozen Maiden is one of my favorite anime :P
My creepy doll sculpture!
Materials
- found objects
- clay to give it some weight
- thread
- glue
- acrylic paint
- fabric
- wire

The fish tail is because of some creepy news I heard when I was little about a doll that had a fish skeleton
Do you like it?
Are you scared?
A little?
This was based on Batman's fear of bats, Walt Disney's fear of mice, and my fear of porcelain dolls...well I kinda like them... from a distance. Rozen Maiden is one of my favorite anime :P

3D! actual 3D touchable....heads
Hello people, I shall show you what my 3D classes have been like. Last year I did some fun and frustrating stuff ehem... cardboard head, this year is all limited to sculpture, but I'll show you both.
First let's look at my cardboard head, yay cardboard! yay cuts in my fingers! yay olfa knife! I think you got the idea... we were supposed to do our head with cardboard for this project, It was a really hard one, but I do think I got something from it since this was my first time thinking about how the human head was structured. I did this project around october last year, and I think it was a good thing to take some photos of it in process.
And now... The final piece!
Now I'll show you something from my sculpture class. I also learned a lot about the head structure from doing this; nothing like a three dimensional approach to the human head to learn how to handle it. I was supposed to make the head of one of my classmates but she wasn't there so I ended up doing a sculpture of another sculpture. Here the model:

And here is my sculpture on clay

I actually enjoyed doing the second one, it was like a break for some of my hardest classes *cough*computer involved classes*cough* I also felt happy with the results, I probably also like the fact that I was doing someone else's head because when I try to do something related to me it just... is more difficult.
